1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking to recruit one post at Boldmere Junior School that will involve 1:1 and small group support for the academic, social and personal development of a pupil with significant and complex SEND needs.

The successful candidate working across the Federation of Boldmere Schools will:

Provide one-to-one support for a child with complex special educational needs, both in and out of the classroom.
Support learning activities, speech and language development, and social integration.
Assist with personal care, if required, in a respectful and supportive manner.
Implement individual learning and behaviour plans under the guidance of the Leadership Team, SENDCO and teaching staff.
Foster a nurturing environment that promotes confidence and independence.
Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure consistent support.
Encourage and facilitate participation in classroom activities and school events.

The successful applicant/s will be offered the post on condition of suitable references and subject to the necessary pre-employment checks including an ‘on-line check’ as per the requirements of Keeping Children Safe in Education.
